Mr. Schantz is a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in Political Science and Finance. After graduating from college in 1978, he entered the financial services industry as a life agent and financial planner. In 1980, Mr. Schantz went to work for IOF Foresters, an international fraternal insurer and quickly established himself as one of their top-producing agents. In 1982, he was promoted to District Manager and for the next 15 years he managed one of the most profitable and productive regions in the company. His responsibilities included directional planning while overseeing the marketing and distribution systems. In addition, he was responsible for the handling of compliance issues and worked closely with counsel to develop an ethics and regulations department. Mr. Schantz worked with home office personnel in the areas of product development and was instrumental in the design of the company’s first and second-generation adjustable life programs.
In 1995 Mr. Schantz formed Charitable Concepts, Inc, as a third party trust administrator for non-profit organizations. He has done extensive work in the development and implementation of charitable gifting, estate planning and the gifting of life insurance. His work with local charities has funded numerous endowment programs while helping individuals create their own legacy.
